Overhaul or buy new?
When reconditioning is the right call
For large pumps and discontinued models, reconditioning is almost always faster and cheaper than replacement: no import lead time, no baseplate and piping re-engineering, and the equipment returns with design clearances and curves restored.
A Hydro Pumps overhaul recovers components instead of simply swapping them: a scored shaft is coated and ground; a worn bearing seat is machined and bushed; a cavitation-damaged impeller is recovered and balanced. Every decision is technical and documented in the report.
HVOF coating: recovery that outperforms the original
HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) is a thermal spray process that projects coating material onto the part at supersonic speed, producing extremely dense, low-porosity, high-hardness layers with excellent bond strength to the substrate.
Applied to shafts, sleeves and sealing surfaces, HVOF coating restores original dimensions with wear resistance frequently superior to the factory material. After spraying, grinding delivers the final finish and tolerance.

In most cases, yes. Discontinued pumps have no OEM spare parts — but our reverse engineering measures, models and manufactures the components to our own drawings. The equipment regains full technical support without the cost and lead time of replacement.
