PUMP RECONDITIONING
Reconditioning returns your pump to design condition at a fraction of the cost of new equipment. Hydro Pumps carries out complete overhauls with CNC machining, HVOF thermal spray, grinding and bench testing — for pumps of any brand, including discontinued models.

What the overhaul includes
Teardown inspection, dimensional restoration and validation — the complete overhaul cycle.
Teardown inspection and incoming report
Full disassembly, dimensional measurement of every component and a report with root-cause failure analysis.
Precision CNC machining
In-house CNC lathes to restore shafts, bearing seats, shoulders and interference fits within design tolerance.
HVOF and arc spray coating
Supersonic thermal spray for dimensional restoration of shafts and journals with high-hardness, low-porosity, corrosion-resistant coatings.
Reverse engineering of parts
Components without drawings or out of production are measured, modeled and manufactured to our own drawings — the answer for legacy pumps without OEM support.
Balancing and alignment
Rotor balanced per ISO 21940-11 G2.5 and assembly laser-aligned before delivery.
Bench performance test
Flow, pressure and tightness validated on our own hydraulic bench, so the pump leaves verified against its curve.
Overhaul or buy new?
When reconditioning is the right call
For large pumps and discontinued models, reconditioning is almost always faster and cheaper than replacement: no import lead time, no baseplate or piping rework, and the equipment returns with design clearances and curves restored.
A Hydro Pumps overhaul restores components instead of simply swapping them: a scored shaft is coated and ground; a worn bearing seat is machined and bushed; a cavitation-damaged impeller is restored and balanced. Every decision is technical and documented in the report.
HVOF coating: restoration that often outperforms the original
HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel) is a thermal spray process that projects coating material onto the part at supersonic speed, producing extremely dense, low-porosity, high-hardness layers with excellent bond strength to the substrate.
Applied to shafts, sleeves and sealing surfaces, HVOF coating restores original dimensions with wear resistance often superior to the original material. After spraying, grinding delivers the final finish and tolerance.

Pump overhaul questions
What to weigh before choosing between repair, overhaul and replacement.
01Is it worth reconditioning an old, discontinued pump?
In most cases, yes. Discontinued pumps have no OEM spare parts — but our reverse engineering measures, models and manufactures the components to our own drawings. The equipment regains full technical support without the cost and lead time of replacement.
02What is the teardown inspection and what does it cost?
It is the documented disassembly with measurement of every component, producing a report with failure cause and the exact repair scope. You approve the quote knowing precisely what will be done. Contact us via the form or WhatsApp for conditions.
03What is the difference between repair and overhaul?
A repair fixes the specific failure that stopped the pump. An overhaul is the complete cycle: every component inspected and restored to design clearances, rotor balanced, assembly aligned and performance validated on the bench — the pump returns to as-new condition.
04Do you warrant the service?
Every overhaul ships with a complete technical report and a documented bench performance test. Warranty terms are formalized in the proposal, according to the scope performed.
